Eh? Oh shit! Fuck!

Prologue

Adventure 1

Adventures in the Sea of Swords.

Introduction: Ghost Ship, The Misty Gale

Delaios the Wizard, Rellis the Paladin, Starrynight the Elven Ranger, and Vedi the Halfling rogue were all prisoners aboard a Valen Marine Vessel. They were being transported to some brutal prison island to face certain doom. During a storm, the party befriended one another with the sole purpose of escaping their grim fate. They took advantage of a massive sea storm to outsmart the marines, befriend the vessels captain, and escape with little more than a weeks rations, some basic navigation equipment, and a small raft.

Nearing dehydration and starvation, the party celebrated when they were found by Captain Ralleigh of the Misty Gale. The ship’s crew was friendly—they took advantage of the warming hospitality. Late that night, however, the party was awoken from slumber with a nasty crash and the screams of passengers. The crew and passengers had all but vanished, and a rotting ship full of undead and apparitions was all that remained. The Valen fugitives faced these hellish threats for answers, looking the source of these abominations.

After drowning to death in a room full of blood, three of the adventurers jumped from their cots, startled by what was apparently just a horrible nightmare.

Or was it? Rellis the paladin had gone missing, and all three of them had the exact same nightmare.

New passengers boarded the ship on this day. Among their numbers was a goliath Warden who called himself Thonlok. That night, the party’s slumber was disturbed once more by the Ghost Ship’s transformation. They endured the terrifying trials of the haunted vessel, and met the ghost of a young girl named Rose.

Following Rose, they discovered the source of the malign spirits—a strange dark artifact, wielded by the helpless girl, that possessed the crew to perform murderous acts of violence.

The party freed Rose and Captain Ralleigh from the curse of this dark artifact—an artifact constructed from an oversized human vertebrae. The adventuring crew wanted to find the original owner of this malevolent creation, so they headed to the port city of Skaug.

This wasn’t your ordinary port—not by a long shot. Skaug is the pirate capitol of all of Toril.
